Try the cli commands then

Does makemkv show the drive tray as popped or closed
The no check no wait can help get around that.

Another thing to try is manually pop the tray and try flashing with it open seen where drives on wrong fw report the opposite of what they really are

As per your request, I will no longer be giving recovery advice in this topic. I think I've said all that I can possibly say anyway.

One last thing though, if you need help for manually popping the tray, there's a nice YouTube video here :

This is not quite the same kind of drive as yours but the basic method is the same.

Best of luck !

Hi Sayaka, Billy and everyone,

I just wanted to report that my BP50NB40 has been successfully recovered.

The drive was an SVC NB40 (MT1959). After trying the wrong firmware path, the drive became stuck at firmware 1.03 and the tray stopped working.

Thanks to your advice, I tried the recovery command:

```
sdftool64.exe --all-yes -d G: rawflash "main,nowait,nocheck,boot=MT1959 Boot BUP3" -i "BP50NB40-NB40-1.00-Clean.bin"
```

The flash completed successfully, and after reconnecting the drive:

* Firmware changed from 1.03 back to 1.00
* Firmware type changed from Patched to Original
* Tray operation was restored
* Blu-ray discs are now recognized normally

I also created a backup after recovery:

* dump_user: successful
* dump_full: successful (2MB ROM dump)

Thank you very much for your help and patience. Your suggestions saved the drive from being permanently unusable.

I really appreciate the help from this community!
