I know blurays and UHD blurays lately no such constraint on the number of region changes that can be made limited to 5 before the drive being locked into the last done region.

No, the firmware has nothing to do with the region coding. MakeMKV should take care of that when ripping anyway.

Ha, didn't know. Everything in order now, sir! Now I have 2 fully jail broken Verbatim 43888 at 1.03 MK firmware version.
