Thanks. I flashed drives all the way back to the DOS tools and have used the SDF Flasher several times. I got version 1.3.4 of the flasher tool but when I got to

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=19113

and download the MK firmwares, there is no 1.03 version but instead a 1.04 version in a folder called BU40N-N-Main.

Finally, realized there is a google drive link above link I quoted for all the firmware you need and it has a 1.03MK version. Do I first upgrade to this then to 1.04MK or stay with 1.03MK?

Flashed both to WH16NS60 1.02MK using GUI SDF. First drive flashed fine and is operating as expected. Second drive flash resulted in "Command produced error code 0x8f062900" and can't seem to load DVDs. It will load BDs. Recommendations?
I’ve tried those two things separately, but not together. Will experiment.

Power off case and unplug it from PC and try again unless you have already done so?

1.03-MK is in the "MK\old" folder. Don't use 1.04. It is sh*t.

Still run into the "No drive tool logic found in SDF.bin" error :?
Got a new BU40N drive:

Drive Information
OS device name: G:
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BU40N
Revision: 1.04
Serial number:
Firmware date: 2120-05-06 11:42
Bus encryption flags: 17

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible (with patched firmware)
Drive platform: MT1959
Harware support: Yes
Firmware support: No

Run the command as described with the image from the "The all you need firmware pack" and even tried to flash the "DE_LG_BU40N_1.00.bin", still the same issue :/
.\makemkvcon64.exe f --all-yes -d G: rawflash enc -i .\HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03-NM00000-211810241934.bin
No drive tool logic found in SDF.bin
Internal error 0x8d000000

Also followed the troubleshooting steps by opening a regular Blu-ray wihtout any error messages and still get the same error :/
Any ideas?

I've bought that cheap one, which was recommended by a friend of mine
https://www.amazon.de/techPulse120-Lauf ... B072WJRK4R

Did some more search and found one of you post, with the recommendation to plugin the drive directly via sata.
I'll try this later when Im back at home

That can brick a drive? Daymn, good to know, ty!
Since dont have any matcha cables/adapters for that slim sata stuff, guess I'm gonna order a Vantec NST-510S3-BK case as recommended in you guide.
Or is there any other (better?) case? I see in your selling thread that you use a different one for the BU40N
Regards and big thanks
