Thank you I'll rip rest of the extras from each disc. Then I'll name each episode and use my other conversion tool that will reduce size from 30+ GB to like 6gb but keep the original on server btw S8 Disc 3 episode was 57GB haha my Nas is getting stuffed finally using up the extra space.

Wish my luck boys and girls. I’m finally about to rip my set. I have season 1&8 done already from their prior single season releases.

So I’m doing season 2-7 and starting with 2 on my Asus on 3.02 with unlimited speed enabled.

I’ve read the horror stories. But I gotta try myself lol!

First disc season 2 with unlimited speed took around 50 min. No errors.

Popped in disc 2 errors.

Ejected disc closed makemkv.

Opened makemkv and inserted disc.

Ripped disc 2 no errors in 50 minutes roughly again.

Just popped in disc 3 after repeating the same procedure above. Let’s see how she goes!

got almost all seasons done now just need to find season 6 Disc 1 will amazon send just that as replacement or would i have to send this entire set back? thank you guys for all hard work o ngettin other discs decrypted so fast!

They will only replace the entire item so I recommend doing this:

1) Keep ripping what you have and make note of which ones don't rip correctly
2) Have Amazon replace with the same item, you'll probably be given a big window to return the "original"
3) Wait until the replacement arrives and rip the remaining discs that didn't work. If they work put them into your "original" set and put the defective ones into the replacement set.
4) If you still have some discs from both sets not working try dropping the drive speed that is used to spin the drive (we have seen cases where this helps)
5) Assuming you finally get everything ripped send the "replacement" set back to Amazon to avoid being charged twice.

Unfortunately Amazon doesn't let you replace a replacement so after going through those steps the first time I was still left with some discs that didn't work. All Amazon could do is refund my money and I sent both sets back. But after ordering it again and getting that set replaced as well I was able to piece together an entire working set. The 3rd time around only had 3 problematic discs which is better than the previous two sets so they might be working the bugs out at the factory.

S08 Disc 1 Episode 2 fails. makemkv is able to read the whole disc and has no problems. just episode 2 fails. Should I get a replacement disc?

Season 2&3 completed. On to season 4. No disc has taken longer than 46 minutes thus far. And so I continue!

Well 2 more discs in season 6 and then the 4 in season 7 and I’m done as I already had season 1 and 8 ripped from earlier releases. Onward I March!

any estimates on the total rip size of the entire set? at about maybe ~40gb per episode for 73 episodes...ouch

Just finished. With all the English languages the total is 1.87TB 73 files
