Got it working thank you for anyone who wants the config file it is attached place it in your directory and it will use the exoplayer as default just make sure you restart kodi
\\SHIELD\internal\Android\data\org.xbmc.kodi\files\.kodi\userdata

Yes, everything except profile 4 and 7 FEL works for me.

Same; I can’t get exoplayer to play any file on the Firestick

Is anyone else having an issue with playback failing at precisely 15:36? It does it with multiple files so definitely not a corrupt file.

Guys,i thinking to buy(preorder Zidoo Z9X).In this case wil i have to enjoy a DV on mkv -Zidoo has confirmed that they are working on the SDK, and developing Dolby Vision support for MKV containers regarding profiles 4,5,8 & 9. Good stuff! or i use the old methods-ts muxer>yoroscope to single layer and eac3togui to add the atmos truehd and make the .TS file ?

not sure how you expect anyone here to answer that when the product hasn't been publicly released yet

Mmm I’d be worried about this quote:

*Built-in VS10 engine could process Dolby Vision very well. All files could be mapped to similar color of Dolby Vision, image quality improves a lot.

Similar color doesn’t sound good to me, it’s the reason I’m currently not using the shield.

Further more it doesn’t currently support Profile 7, which is what our rips are, correct?

Trying to load the demo content in the app itself fails, but I can navigate to a SMB share in Kodi, and launch Gladiator which I just re-ripped with 1.15.2, and I am getting both Dolby Vision and DTS X.

So for my feedback... I am using an nvidia shield 2019 tube for this - when kodi launches the video in exoplayer, it runs at 60fps. I open the mini menu on the shield to do frame-rate matching, but the display refreshes and exoplayer says it cannot play the file.

Gotta say this is an exciting time!

I have tried to read through the last 10 pages or so, to confirm, if I get a Nvidia Shield I can playback in lossless quality DV + Atmos, is that a correct assumption? I have NFS & Samba Shares. And as I understand the rips can’t be played back via Oppo 203 as of right now?

I usually do full disc unencrypted backups, how would I got about ripping these for losseless DV+base layer and Atmos?

Indeed, it sounds a bit vague and reading what it does or “could” do to me it seems similar to what the Apple TV4K does. When you set The APTV4K to DV it will output everything as DV, regardless the input. Nothing really new. The difference is as I understand, if there is regular HDR or DV in the file, it will not be processed in their engine, but displayed as it should. Personally I am always a little concerned when “engines” and whatnot are presented where the original signal goes into a blackbox and nobody knows what has been done. Real or fake DV, etc...

Think it still is to early to jump from mediaplayer to mediaplayer. They all want to be the first to announce support for DV mkv and get that slice of the market.
