That's the latest but make sure you go back and read the release notes for R1 and R2, as well. avdvplus did a LOT of work on Dolby Vision.

EDIT: Fixed the link...accidentally posted the same R3 link again.
Would love some assistance, I am still running the last CPM build from last year.

Can I upgrade from CPM to the avdvplus builds? Or do I need to start fresh?

You can upgrade. Just make sure to read the release 1 release notes about it. You have to reset the Dolby Vision section in the CoreELEC settings. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF RESETTING THE WHOLE INSTALL! Just that one page there's a reset settings. No need to wipe anything. And that'll work just fine on R9.

Specifically this and pay CLOSE attention to what he's saying or you WILL wipe the box if you're not careful.
After you install my build please make sure to go to Settings/System/CoreELEC on the bottom of the screen and press "Reset above settings to default" and confirm with "yes" so my screen changes are aligned correctly. This is the screen settings "reset" NOT the CoreELEC "soft reset" and definitely NOT the "hard reset". After resetting the screen settings you can then select the appropriate settings for your equipment.

Appreciate the guidance on this. Very helpful! I am up and running.

Now I just need to figure out WTF is going on with my LG C3. Anytime I play back one of my remuxes, especially those with cm40 metadata added, I get a near constant Dolby Vision notification when an Atmos stream is playing.

I've tested numerous HDMI certified cables. Played content right of an SSD usb drive. Hardwired ethernet.

I'm losing it. I'm starting to wonder if I have bum HDMI port in my Ugoos or something.

Set the audio to LAV SB in the settings.

Thanks. Pretty sure that was the setting I had configured, but I will double-check.

It definitely happens in LAV FULL but LAV SB shouldn't trigger it unless something's changed. I have zero control over it. CPM also looked into it and neither of us could fix it. I don't send audio to the display at all so I never see it. :)

Yeah, I had this issue as well with the A14 CPM builds as well.

Everything else about my setup is perfect, so I need to look into ways to strip Atmos and/or not set it to the TV.

I use my VRROOM for that.

this static metadata is removed when you convert the rpu to P8. Apple has no respect to the creator's intent, I did a video about it on my youtube channel.
Never watch iTunes P5 web-dl if you care about accuracy, always convert it to P8.
Hi, how can I convert P5 to P8?
