It may not be all the Kscape titles that have color issues. I just tried another one(Poor Things) and while there is some slight difference on some frames, nothing as bad as Mad Max, Last of Us and Accoutant:

Are you all mainly looking for the ease of access to the titles? Using these planned obsolescence devices is not a wise decision, but I understand if the concern is mainly the ease of access to the titles, not the device or file properties.

I feel like someone needs to keep reiterating to newer people that if you don't need Dolby Vision Profile 7 at UHD bitrates, you can use basically any streaming device. Since most people are fine with Profile 8 at half UHD bitrates (~50GB files), a used ~20usd Amazon 4K Firestick will work fine with Kodi or NOVA Video Player (but you do need a WiFi 5+ router).

OK, tested a new movie on KSCAPE, and it's the same crap. Blacks are not raised like in The Accountant, but the colors are desaturated and the brightness is not right. DV TV-LED is even worse. Compression is also slightly worse despite the much higher bitrate on KSCAPE. Definitely a terrible streaming service or device, at least for HDR10/DV, because SDR is fine.

This also explains why I thought TLoU was so darn dark, Andor, too. It's not me or my TV, then. It's the silly dark HDR (C2, P5, internal player).

If you're talking about the Kscape I think the idea is to get access to content at the highest quality possible. Unfortunately it seems that device/service does not live up to the marketing hype.

After generating DV with cm_analyze, is it better to inject the entire new RPU or transfer all its levels to the original RPU?

You mentioned earlier that it’s possible to generate DV for P7 FEL (after prior baking).
What about P5 — is there also a way to generate DV for such movies?

Depends on the content, it seems. Maybe KSCAPE gets bad sources for some files, we don't know.

This would be great. I can return my ugoos if this is proven and cited.
Currently it's only playing hdr at this point in the initial set up. I'm concerned about the section highlighted in the attached image as this is where I've stopped in the video setup RESET_9999 made.

This update will allow only P8 and P5 in an MKV container. P7 support on LG TVs was removed in 2020, and the Ugoos will be the best and only P7 player forever.

I'm sorry but I can't find it.
Im thinking about getting the ugoos.
Is the am6 still the go to model, or can I get the newer one like am8 pro or am9?
Also my TV has only HDMI2.0b, will the player-led stuff be supported?

yes am6b+ is the way to go. newer models don't support FEL.
and yes of course, player led is supported.
