@RESET_9999 -- watching your great video on setting up the AM6B with CoreELEC,
Step 7 stops after you sign into Plex in the Composite add-on.
Composite doesn't populate with the contents of my Plex libraries after signing in. If I go in to configure Composite > Kodi Library > "Select sections to include in library scans", I can see my libraries under the scan options, so it seems communication is working there, but I can't get the libraries to appear in the list in Composite to watch a video.
When I did get my libraries to appear for a time, and I tried to play a video, I'd get a "Playback failed" error that says "One or more items failed to play, Check the log for more information about this message."
Looking in kodi.log, it looks like the problem may be that all the URLs are using the Plex IP address instead of the domain name, and the TLS cert is failing verification.
Code: Select all
info <general>: VideoPlayer::OpenFile: plugin://plugin.video.composite_for_plex/?url=https%3A//192.168.1.10%3A32400/library/metadata/122794&mode=5

When I go into Manage Servers > Server [Nearby] [SSL] > Connection Test Results, I pick the
https://myplexdomainname.plex.direct:12345 URL instead of the IP address option at the top, but it doesn't actually change Composite to use that URL, kodi.log shows it still tries to use the IP address. When I turn Certificate Verification off, it also doesn't help or change anything.
When I used Clear Caches, it removed all my Plex libraries from the list, and now I can't get them back again.
Have you run into this, or do you know any troubleshooting steps? I'm having trouble finding info and don't have any other problems with secure connections to my server via Infuse or Plex apps.

I have no idea and I never had this problem. You could try other PLEX addon or configure an SMB share.

Thanks. PM4K works, so I'm expecting it's bug in Composite that I'll look into patching.

Hi RESET_9999, I have a question regarding the Chroma Weight bug on the LG models since 2022.
I currently have a C9 with an Ugoos AM6+ using CPM A14 build. I was thinking about upgrading to a G4 or G5 this year, but I just learned about the Chroma Weight bug on these newer models.
I think you have a C2 with the Ugoos w/ CPM build; what's your workaround for accurately watching CMv2.9 movies that have L2 chroma weight trims? If you use TV-led, the C2 ignores the CW trims, and if you use player-led, on the Ugoos w/ CPM build LLDV is only CMv2.9 so the CW trims still don't work.
There are some affected CMv2.9 UHD BDs such as A Quiet Place: Day One for which WEB CMv4.0 L8 metadata exists, that can be transferred to the BD remux to effectively work around the issue, since the bug doesn't affect TV-led CMv4.0 L8 CW trims. But there are some UHD BDs such as Saving Private Ryan, Jaws, Dune (2021) etc. for which WEB CMv4.0 L8 metadata doesn't exist, what to do for those?
Are there any recent OLED models that you know of that don't have this Chroma Weight bug? Would you recommend buying a different TV to the G5 if it is also confirmed to have this bug, or do you think the Chroma Weight bug affects all new CMv4.0 TVs?

I’d take a 2500-nit G5 with the CW bug over a 700-nit C9 without it any day.
The CW bug would only be an issue with 2500-nit or brighter grades and only if it's CMv2.9, so most content will be just fine. I really can’t wait to get the G5.

I'm working on cmv 4.0 transfer for the movie Mufasa: The Lion King (2024). Frame difference check shows 0 difference. When I run 2-3, the scene_cuts.txt files are generated (which also say no differences) but the RPU_verify_sync2.bin is not generated. Is that normal?

yes, when the RPUs frame count and sync are identical, it doesn't edit the source (web) RPU.

Also, not all the time, but 9 times out of 10 when you have a web RPU + UHD that line up perfectly from the start with no edits needed - it's gonna be a Disney title I've found

Just to confirm, the LG G1 from 2021 does NOT have this Chroma Weight bug ?

Hey @RESET_9999, quick question. When you're grabbing 4K WEB-DL TV releases, do you get the DV P5 or P8 versions?
I usually grab P5 to use with my Ugoos, but since Plex now has HEVC support I've been considering getting the P8 releases for friends to stream. Losing DV quality is a tough call for me, but I'm wondering if it's negligible with WEB-DL's.

Hmm wait, this bug is only there on LLDV or Player LED ?
Because the test files are located in the ''LLDV bug'' folder...
I'm confused now because user @dysprosium mentions also this bug when using TV LED...

there's a bug with TV-LED since 2022.
LLDV cmv2.9 devices is the original CW bug.
So they fixed the bug for LLDV with cmv4.0 devices (shield, appletv) but introduced the same bug in TV-LED since 2022 lol... Dolby is funny.
