deadchip, you sure, you saved your autostart.sh file correctly? Check via SMB in folder "configfiles", if your file "autostart.sh" only contains the last three lines (and not!! the nano ... line).

Ok then it looks like your TV internal target is higher than 1000nits and it's ignoring the trims which is surprising since @powdeau confirmed not a long time ago that the trims were working on his G4.
I assume the G4 also have a target higher than 1000nits or maybe he didn't test the right file or the Sony just works differently than LG so lets try something:

tell me if the trims work on these files

yes, these test files will check every single trims metadata (positive lift offset included)

ok I retested the 1st file. I saw brightness change in everything except chroma weight, saturation gain & ms weight. Same for the 2nd file.

ok then another difference is the offset trim test steps file has a 100 and 600nits trims while the other test files have 100-600-1000.

ok then it means that your TV needs a 1000nits trim otherwise the trims are ignored if the RPU MDL is 1000nits.

a 1000nits movie, they do if they were authored in a cmv4.0 workflow but the values are usually so low that it shouldn't have any major effect.

For the trim saturation and chroma Weight, they should work.

Trim saturation: affect the color saturation only, not the brightness
CW: brighten or darken the most saturated part of the image

so look at the saturated part of the image.

btw I have the same behavior on LG G4 internal player as @deadchip12 in all the tests you were talking about.
