MAKEMKV Purchasing

Hi Again Guys
Thanx for the first response very much appreciated.
Regards to buying a life time key, I've just been on my MAKEMKV to purchase the life time key and when you click on purchase, it flags up stating this is unavailable?
Has anyone else had the same issue when trying to purchase it?

I am guessing no one has ever heard of a FOMO sales tactic before. Just wait a few more days, you will get the new key

Anyone else randomly get their order status marked as "refunded" in PayPro Global without asking for a refund? I checked for an update, PayPro Global sent me an email with my own update request saying "We are contacting you on behalf of your customer..." I was just hoping to see if there was an update, and they marked it as refunded now.
I didn't want a refund yet
I was hoping to wait it out a bit longer to see if the keys come in this weekend. Seeing if anyone else is seeing this in their PayPro Dash.

It is not currently possible to purchase a registration, since PayPro Global is out of codes. For now, you'll need to wait. One work-around is to set your PC's clock backwards when running MakeMKV.

Since we are posting speculations…. Mine is that he is currently on the verge of finishing firmware update for pioneer drives and needs to focus.

Yep, same thing here - PauPro initiated a refund without a request from me.
I can see their point - they don't want a back order problem to deal with later.
Still hoping that Mike works things out soon and gets the purchase web page and process up and running again soon, but that wouldn't explain why there isn't a beta key for August yet.

Those that bought lifetime keys paid a reasonable price for it - between 50 and 60 bucks. Mike likely isn't a millionaire off of sales like that. And he has upgraded the software from time to time, fixing bugs, etc. And kept it free in beta mode.
He's given us a great free program that we've all enjoyed, and has kept it up and running for free for many, many years. We all owe him at least great big THANK YOU for that.
I suspect if this gets sorted out he will get a great big monetary "Thank You" windfall all at once. I don't want to go through this again, and I suspect people who have been using the free version for years are in the same boat. As soon as payment starts working again, I'm going to pay for mine.

Backdating is a bit of a pain, but it works. And I found that once I open the program, I can change the date back to the correct current date and the program still works. It apparently only checks the date when you first open the program.
Just so you know, the Mac version allows you to backdate and open it, but you must remain backdated; otherwise, the software throws an exception and shuts down when you try to rip something.

That was actually before all of this started happening. Billy clarifies that in another reply after people started asking why it's not fixed, then.
So, status quo. Apparently no one's been able to get in contact with him, including his payment processor.
I think someone mentioned he usually "checks in" on MakeMKV every couple weeks. If that's true, there may be another week to go until his next one. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.

Hi,
I found a temporary solution for myself. I set my system date back (by four weeks), so that it was earlier than July 31, 2025. That allowed me to continue working.

I wouldn't hold my breath on Mike doing his visit to this forum as there is clearly something wrong/happening when he hasn't contacted the payment processor, I'm sure they would of reached out to him more than a few times and for Mike not to reply to them would be strange if he was just on holiday etc..

Pure speculation, but another thing to consider as to what may be the issue here is that makeMKV's server is apparently in Russia according to this post...
