you dont have to demux the layers. You can inject directly into the P7 mkv rip.
Perhaps check the scene cuts with 2-1 in case you have a bluray with different timing.

@RESET_9999: Do you by any chance have plans to get a Google TV Streamer to check out how it handles DV?

No sorry, I dont test devices anymore because the Ugoos+CE does everything I ever wanted.
PS
To those who didn't know, FEL is now supported on many more devices:

I saw a bit of discussion on this up thread, is there an explanation for why cm_analyze gradually slows down during its analysis in the 3-1 workflow, with the effective fps rate gradually dropping? Happens with every title I've done so far (I'm using Win 10).

another one: Mississippi.Burning.1988
Makemkv missing half of the metadata:

no issue with tsmuxer... I guess the makemkv output should always be double checked...

I have a feeling MakeMKV issue is only with some discs that have seamless branching, but just a guess. Could post on this forum some kind-of bug report for it? Maybe the dev would be able to figure it out by talking to quietvoid or something. Worth verifying though, agreed.

this one is not a seamless branching disc.

Hmm, that's strange. I wonder what it is then? Maybe there are multiple cases where RPU ends up incomplete? I'll make a bug report post one day if I have time and figure out the pattern. Do you know if quietvoid uses makeMKV and could advise at all?

thanks for that, saves me the trouble of more tinkering with my set-up to try and fix it. Will watch the thread with interest to see if a fix is available in due course.

There have been many different issues in the past:
- Non synced BL/EL
- Different M2TS/container timestamps
They are all authoring problems.
Usually MakeMKV reports errors but for some people it never does.
This one looks different since the metadata is randomly missing across the whole title?

I've converted several HDR10 titles to DV using the 6-2 and 3-1 workflows and have been pleased with the results. With 6-2 I've been selecting "n" for exclude letterbox for estimating MaxFALL due to the warning about processing time. To what extent might this impact the end result? I only want to convert my library once, so don't want to take short-cuts if they are undermining final quality.
if you just use 6-2 to create a shot list for 3-1 it doesn't matter.

Why is MaxCLL calculated with DaVinci Resolve so different than MadVR? What is the most accurate?

Good afternoon, how can you be so sure, how did you manage to recognize it? I want to look into this issue, the Chinese SasukeducK has not yet given clear answers. Yesterday I did a little analysis of track 7.1, all the channels are different there, i.e. the side and rear are different, there is no way to take 7.1 from where, either he converted TrueHD Atmos 7.1 from Kaleidescape to eac3 7.1 or decomposed eac3 5.1 768 atmos into 16 channels and slipped a couple of channels of effects into this 7.1, to mislead everyone.
