On how to flash that drive.

Also, read the guide(s) posted across the forum. It may help answer these common questions:

I have tried sdftool. flasher doesn't open properly I get unhandled exception has occurred if you click continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

if you quit the application will close immediately. start index cannot be less than zero parameter name start index. I am using windows 10 with latest updates.

Then try the ASUS flasher from here. Your firmware 1.04 should not be encrypted and therefore this flasher should work. You might get warnings by your AntiVirus software and should most likely disable it (real time protection) until you are done.

no, this software not working also comes up with something about dram when you click ok it looks like it might work but when you press flash draw opens then it comes up with a fail this is very frustrating I thought it was going to be easy.

Maybe it worked... This flash process is really fast. Please run Makemkv and check what it says about your drive.

Which firmware are you trying to flash?

It needs to be 1.03 or 1.04 from the OLD folder. Don't even try 1.05. This is only for drives that come with 1.05 (encrypted firmware).

And you want to check the information about "Microcode" im Makemkv that should say patched after a successful flash.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
