Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have tried the Skip HDR10+ method on Hobbs and Shaw and Harley Quinn which are both FEL titles and it worked wonderfully

I don't know what UHD's you have, but AFAIK, Furious 7 has no Dolby Vision or HDR10+ (only static HDR), and Birds of Prey has MEL.

yeah... that's different.. Hobbs and Shaw has FEL, but I haven't seen Birds of Prey with FEL, only MEL.ray_007 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 3:32 pmedited my original post. Also, they are both HDR10+ and FEL titles, at least in my case.

@Yusesope
I did other tests and got your MKV_Patcher to work finally.
Because the film is Fel, I choose this "python-3.7.6.amd64\python.exe src\app.py -fel_to_mel -mux_exp" in MUX_Experimental
This is the mediainfo from patched file:

According to https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=276448 Birds of Prey is still unidentified (since there is no MEL or FEL) description unlike other titles. There could be a case that it was released through different sources e.g Robin Hood but who knows. All i know is that when I loaded the file in Makemkv, it showed as FEL and that is it

Have there not been cases when Youscope has advised Mike that some files are being identified as FEL when they are actually MEL?ray_007 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 10:04 pmAccording to https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=276448 Birds of Prey is still unidentified (since there is no MEL or FEL) description unlike other titles. Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hello,
Since this past weekend i am also trying to convert Ultra HD movies to any format as long as Dolby Vision and HD audio stays intact.
I am trying to accomplish this with the Full Ultra Bluray of Back to The Future.
I have some questions.
I have no idea how to determine of this is FEL or MEL.
How can you check this??
With the script made by Yusesope i have succesfully made an BL.hevc and EL.hevc files
After that i made the BL_EL_RPU.hevc file with conversion MUX_AND_CONVERT_TO_MEL
But when i try to create a TS file with TSmuxer and the BL_EL_RPU.hevc i keep getting an error message "not enough buffer to parse video stream"
Did i do something wrong?
I also tried with mp4muxer to create an mp4 instead but this keeps stopping when the file is about 12 GB.
Last question is how to add the HD audio to the TS file if that one finally works?
Any help is really appreciated
Thanks in Advance!!
Walter

I think i will go with what the software is telling me, since its been made by people who know what they are doing and i trust their judgment. If anything changes in the future I might decided to re-rip it but for now I am happy with the resultsjlpsvk wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 6:18 am65kbps for DV EL LAYER is NOT FEL.ray_007 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 10:04 pmAccording to https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=276448 Birds of Prey is still unidentified (since there is no MEL or FEL) description unlike other titles.
