Howdy....
So I successfully converted several files to MKV (a reported format supported by the logitech revue) they converted quickly (from dvd, ifo, and vob), played flawlessly on my pc using VLC and the quality was great. I was super excited to finally be able to stream some local content from my nas to my Revue.
However...dun dun dunnnn....
While the revue saw the files and played them, I got excellent audio....but no video (black screen).
The supported formats should be:
* MKV - H.264/AVC
* FLV - H.264/AVC, H.263
* MTS/MT2S/TS - H.264/AVC
* AVI - H.264/AVC, DivX MPEG4, XVid MPEG4
Anybody have any thoughts on this? I actually really like this program...its super fast and did a great job. Hope someone can help.
thanks~!

DVD's are MPEG2. Blu-Ray's can be either MPEG2, h.264/AVC or VC-1.MadMyk wrote:The supported formats should be:

In short, you're going to have to rip the discs with MakeMKV then import the MKV files into something like Handbrake to encode to h.264 (aside from occasional h.264/AVC encoded BR's which should work without encoding).

Handbrake works. Not nearly as zippy as makemkv, but if I understand you correctly it is converting it to a different encoding. Using handbrake now to convert over all of my ripped movies to mkv.
