hello,
I bought a used LG BU40N last week.
unfortunately I now had to notice that the drive has an unknown firmware PH07.
can someone tell me something about this firmware version?
thanks.

When you load MakeMKV, what does it say about the drive?

Thank you for your quick response.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 10:03 pmRecommended Firmware to flash for MakeMKV:

So you mean that I can simply flash the 1.03mk over the firmware PH07?
I'm new here.
could you briefly tell me which tool I should use for flashing?
Re: LG BU40N with Firmware Revision PH07
can someone please help me?

The link Billycar11 posted is to the drives guide on this forum. In there, you'll find links to the various firmware, flashing tools, and what not. I think the SDFtool by MartyMcNuts is the preferred choice these days.

Did you notice MakeMKV writing an FW_xxxxxxxx.tgz file for this drive? Should have been created on first disc opening and placed into MakeMKV data directory. Please send this file to support@makemkv.com

So that means there was an issue with your version 14.0. :scratch
About your last issue it is the workgroup. You must set the same workgroup than this one of your laptop set with the lan setup menu
