Yes, these converted Mel files dont play on my x700 too. So I plugged my firestick into the Pana to compare them with the discs played on the x700.

The GIJoe P7 MEL triggers DV on the Zidoo Z9X, but your FEL to MEL plays in HDR10 only.

The fact that devices like the FireStick 4K have no problems playing this type of file encourages me but the issue of the Sony x700/Zidoo Z9X leaves me a bit of a bad taste.

A little tip: if you don't need to make cuts, you can extract video and audio with a single command

Clearly replace "XXX" with the correct TrueHD (with ac3 core) audio stream id

I tested again on my PUS7304 with your FEL to MEL (1917 movie), but this time all profiles 4, 5, 7, 8 with id 1 and 8 with id 2 in exoplayer and yout latest test file, these are the results:

Profile 4 = It starts but lags until the image freezes.
Profile 5 = It plays correctly.
Profile 7 = Black screen, time does not advance.
Profile 8 id 1 = It plays correctly.
Profile 8 id 2 = It plays correctly.
fel_to_mel_test_2.mp4 (your test file)= Black screen, time does not advance.

No luck for me with profile 7 .

Is there any way to combine a TrueHD track with a converted FEL to MEL or do we need to wait for the tsMuxeR update?

Looks like tsMuxeR 2.6.16 Nightly has a few DV updates.

In the mp4 files I did not add subtitles so don't know if they are displayed in firestick.
In the DV Mkv played in shield/ugoos am6plus via kodi/exoplayer, the pgs subs work and are displayed correctly.

Could you please try to extract the hevc video stream from this latter mp4 file, demux it using my "DEMUX.bat", import the two bl.hevc (as first) and el_rpu.hevc (as second) into TsMuxeR and create a m2ts file to try on the Sony?

Thr m2ts file plays in sony x700 via usb.
Dolby vision is triggered a couple of seconds after the play starts.
There is some heavy flickering here and there.

If I use FEL -> MEL then the resulting file size is the same as without that conversion. Is that right?
Normally MEL EL-file sizes are much lower.

Parameter -mode 2 doesn't delete EL data. Getting not a file BL+RPU.hevc, only BL+EL+RPU.hevc with similar size.

I'm using profile 5 on Windows 10 using mp4muxer. Only this works.
