Fail to create mkv from Ice Age DVD

#1 Post by Ticker » Wed Dec 15, 2010 1:42 pm

Hi,

I'm using MakeMKV to transfer the DVD Ice Age to MKV. When I try to rip it, I encounter the following problem Copy complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed. :

Code: Select all

DEBUG: Code 45 at p@'b5'Hkk}iO{9+94yd:213134377
DEBUG: Code 149 at p@'b5'Hkk}iO{9+94yd:29398070
DEBUG: Code 0 at p@'b5'Hkk}iO{9+94yd:213134423
DEBUG: Code 0 at ratqn?MY,?{E"c@T26Z6T:29397449
LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: Error while reading input
Failed to save title 0 to file
It is not related to the DVD itself because the same problem occurs with a copy of the VIDEO_TS folder on my hard drive. This is not the original one but a copy made with DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink (without any compression).
I'm on Windows, the problem is the same on XP and Seven, with two different DVD readers. I've tried to use version 1.5.8 but it doesn't want to start saying the version was too old.

Is my source corrupted ? But I can view it without any problem on my computer or on my TV...
Any help will be appreciated :)

Thanks
Ticker

Hi!
This is not the original one but a copy made with DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink (without any compression).
Instead of this copy, use you original, commercial DVD as the source...

OK
So it is probably a matter of bad data. I will try to find the original disc which is, I guess, somewhere in my house...

Thanks for the advice : always choose the easiest solution :)
