Track length in The Last Ship

#1 Post by arrbee99 » Sun Aug 30, 2020 9:12 pm

Hi. Have acquired and started ripping the The Last Ship bluray box set, using 1.15.2 under Windows.

So far, for Season 1, all the episodes are the same length 45m38s but the episodes themselves of course vary. It seems that, similar to here viewtopic.php?f=8&t=22568 the audio tracks are longer than the actual video. eg for episode 10 No Place Like Home the overall length is 45m38s, video is 42m09s, audio 1 is 42m20s and audio 2 is 45m38s, which I presume is the one causing the problem.

I guess this happens sometimes ?

Does anyone know of a way to fix this, perhaps by adjusting the lengths of the long tracks down to 42m09s ?

Thank you.

Seems like using a bit of ffmpeg works, which is good.

Wondering if anyone might have any thoughts, as it turns out ffmpeg will shorten an episode nicely, but it also makes audio track 2 (the long one) disappear completely, according to MediaInfo, and I'd prefer to keep it. Thanks.
