yes I'm seeing the red artifacts in the background too on that MI clip. Same on the Dr. Sleep sample. :(

Same in the cloud scene in the Spears and Munsil FEL clip. Red push is still there. However, Disney+ is fixed so that's a win.

Is there a way to see if Shield triggers the second HEVC stream with dual-layer DV files with the developer menu or command line? I know Shield has some color issues with red and some other weird colors, but want to make sure that it's the right device before investing in another streamer, otherwise, I am quite happy with my Sony X700 ( there were some talks that it's possible that Shield Pro is not even processing the second FEL layer )

Second stream in dual track file will not play.

As for second stream (layer) merged in single track...
There is no way to tell for sure is FEL active or not. No test patterns exist, no reports in logs.
Only visual observation.
Based on theory visual difference could be in  :
a) smoother gradients
b) less compression artefacts in shadows (mostly in red and blue tones)
c) overall cleaner image with less shimmering
Keep in mind - if video has high quality properly encoded HDR base layer than FEL layer improvements are less and less noticeable, neglectable, or almost none. Indeed 2bit more data is here but probably it should be seen on true 12bit panel to spot something.

So If FEL discarded than image in HDR should be identical to DV Base layer plus some difference in contrast because of tonemapping.
I spend hours and hours to find any difference between HDR and DV and Shield . Heck, I even bought X700 solely for FEL-noFEL comparison purpose
One particular scene with oblivious difference I've found is Valerian 00:52:40 mark - better blue gradients
Pictures - https://slow.pics/c/yhIjWUas

I don't not say FEL is fully utilized and don't say FEL discarded. But after hours of testing I don't really care about FEL anymore until proper test patterns appear. :D
Red push and blocking is real problem for now

yes, the x700 can play profile 7 dual-layer with atmos. plus the colors are accurate and no flickers.

mp4 dual layer fel or mel + LPCM 7.1 audio works but no atmos no subtitle

ts dual layer
fel or mel + Atmos + subtitles works

Only from USB or from network too ?
It has 100Mit only though but maybe you could use an USB3 to Gbit LAN adapter.

It works fine through network from Plex DLNA server. But it buffers with movies like Gemini Man since it's a 60FPS Native 4K movie

Problems with shield pro 2019. I was initially concentrated on the infamous red push problem. Today I saw other movies and;
The Matrix initial scenes look light blue instead of beautiflul green.
This happens both with the kodi/exoplayer/mkv and with plex ts profile 4 and 5.
Very bad,

What TV do you have? Panasonic GZ2000 oled right?
So such issue not only Sony-related

I suggest you to fill report for nVidia - more data, more chances for quicker fix.
