Every time i just start the program I'm getting scsi errors, is that normal? (its also annoying)

Your drive doesn't confirm to SCSI MMC specification - I suggest updating drive firmware. It must be a really cheap drive. The error itself is harmless.

It is running the latest firmware.

Actually, turns out its not the DVD drive - its a specially formatted partition on a harddrive, made (from manufacturers) to look like a DVD drive to the system.
So the only fix would be to disable the hang scan of makemkv
