Have tried Ripping 4k of Disney's UP Movie and cannot get past file 0084.mts without a hash error
Doing a straight makemkv or a full backup of disc, it always fails on this file
"Hash check failed for file 00084.m2ts at offset 11597309952, file is corrupt."
Have tried with 2 different WH14NS40 drives and cannot get past that file.
Has anyone else had problem with this movie, or found a workaround?

Then get a new disc.
Re: UP UHD movie fails everytime
I decided to uninstall 1.15.2 and try 1.15.1
It did show it failed, but went alot further in the program.
But then I checked and it did successfully write the .mkv movie file. I compressed with handbrake and it works.
Trying to find the log file to upload but can't find where it is at

Re: UP UHD movie fails everytime
When you open MakeMKV, it tells you where it is writing the log file. HOWEVER, it also overwrites the old file when you open the program again...
You should find it in your user directory. On Windows, in Explorer, that's usually under Desktop, and your user name. The file will be named MakeMKV_log.txt or similar (the name changes slightly if you're running more than one copy of MakeMKV at a time).

Re: UP UHD movie fails everytime
I have had exactly the same issue with Wall-E.
Brand new disc, cleaned, makes no difference.
No issue with ripping other discs.
I would almost start to think these disc have small faults on purpose, to prevent ripping.

Re: UP UHD movie fails everytime
Well I was having the exact same problem with Star Trek Beyond UHD
It would fail over and over, even went and adjusted in 1.15.2 to limit the drive rip speed to see if a slow read would help. That just produced a fatal error in the program error about half way thru.
So I uninstalled 1.15.2 and again installed 1.15.1
and I this time worked on the first try. hmmmm
