LG WH14NS40 SVC: NS40, is it UHD compatible?

Hey all,

Saw here that the _best_ drive for UHD backups is the WH14NS40. And I've to came across one for cheap, really cheap, and they aren't very common on my country anyway.

So, my question is, is it really UHD compatible? It seems to be quite old, this is what I got from the label (I'm waiting for it to arrive, so I only got the label for now):

MODEL: WH14NS40;
MANUFACTURED: November 2014 (before the first UHD BD it seems);
ROM VER.: 1.03
SVC CODE: NS40

No drive manufactured prior to mid-2015 is UHD-capable. For LG drives, they must have a service code of NS50 or higher.

Your drive may be LibreDrive-capable, though, which has advantages. But you will need something newer for UHD, and there are existing topics to guide you towards them.
