Hello,
I am have a few (beginner) questions before I embark on the Blu-Ray ripping (using Lite-On iHOS104-08). I'm currently using Plex on a Mac Mini as a home-theater PC, but would also like it if the WDTV could play the file. I'm looking to rip movie-only with chapter support.
1. Will MakeMKV rip movie-only with chapter support?
2. What audio must I choose to work with the computer/WDTV?
3. Do subtitles work?
I'm sorry to ask all these questions, but I've yet to receive the Blu-Ray drive. I'm just trying to be prepared.
Thank you all!

Re: Quick Questions
1. Yes
2. The WDTV (v1 original) can only handle Dolby AC3 audio downmix, there is no DTS downmix support but you can passthru AC3/DTS to an amp. The WDTV Live/Hub/v2 support downmix on AC3/DTS and can passthru AC3/DTS/TrueHD to an amp, DTS-MA is not supported for passthru.
3. That is dependent on the media player.

Re: Quick Questions
Thanks for the quick response.
I'm not overly concerned with lossless audio. Doesn't every Blu-Ray have basic Dolby Digital as an option? If so, I'd be content using that.
