I've spent hours on the forums over the last couple of days to try and understand how to get LibreDrive working on my drive. I'm a total duffer at this, and am thoroughly confused by all the different posts, guides and warnings, and obvs don't want to brick my drive. I'm not too fussed about UHD capabilities (if I've understood it correctly, my drive can't actually handle UHD anyway?) - just trying to unlock read speed on blu-ray rips.
I followed the guide here (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19928). I ran BH14NS40_N1.00-A4_patched.exe, opened the firmware HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP50NB40-NB50-1.02-NM00700-211811011016, and tried to patch. But the process just sits at 0%, and as far as I can tell doesn't even pull any CPU resources. I'm obviously doing something wrong. Anyone able to assist?
