Hi!
Are you sure you've actually installed it - or are you just running it each time from your Desktop?

hello again.. yes fully installed..
it just will not save settings at all.. no matter what... done
for some reason, i need to check the box 'run when finished installing' for it to fully decode the disc
if i just run the program, it will Lockup 3/4 the way through initial reading of the disc, or give me a failure to decode error...
and this Hancock disc, holy crap what a mess...
4 (four) different sized movie streams.. "?"
and end up with No Audio.. yet two audio streams in MKV.. DDTrueHD and DD5.1
I just want the DD5.1 not the DDTrueHD
I use popcorn to jump to ac3 5.1 from DTS, but no DTS on Hancock disc
my media player obviously can not decode Two streams let alone the primary DDTHD
but in order to select the DD5.1 you must check DDTHD, because of the way MakeMKV lists the audio streams..
i have Never had any problems with MakeMKV until now..
is there another program out there that does the same as MakeMKV, with direct disc access..?

That box ONLY appears when you are attempting to INSTALL the program. So, once again, it sounds like you've not installed the program (Or are not accessing the installed program), but are running the installer each time...for some reason, i need to check the box 'run when finished installing' for it to fully decode the disc

Dude...
I know selecting the check box is only available when installing the program..
I know AFTER the program is installed, there is an icon to Frigen click on..
you read through my post a lil'to quickly..
I will try properties to run as administrator
additionally,
I will attempt to run on my winXP system, never had any problems with XP
