Hi,
Right now, if you open up a first instance of MakeMKV, put a disc in and start ripping, then open up a second instance of MakeMKV, they then fight with each other trying to access the same drive. This reduces the ripping speed of the first instance to 0.0x and the second instance takes ages to open (parse?) the disc.
It would be really great if MakeMKV was aware of other instances of itself, so new instances wouldn't attempt to open discs that are already in the process of being ripped.
I know the number of users out there with more than one drive is probably very small, but when your ripping a season of TV shows with multiple drives it would be a big help.
Thanks for a really great application!

Check 'Ask for single drive mode' on Preferences > IO tab & restart MakeMKV.Disposable9 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 6:05 pmHi,

This is exactly what I needed, thanks for pointing that out.
Re: Better multiple drive ripping support
I just now found this after a year of watching instances fight with each other for drive access. Thank you for putting this in and I'm an idiot that it took this long to find.
