AV sync issues
AV sync issues
Getting a ton of AV sync issues w/my laptop. I'm on the latest version of makemkv. I've noticed that this doesn't occur on my other laptop. Assumed my bd-rom drive was failing, but just made an mkv off of a backup on a usb drive and had the same issues. Log is attached. any solution to this?

Re: AV sync issues
Plenty of discs have AV sync issues. I'm not familiar with the particular release(s) you're trying, but it may just be the mastering of that disc that's at fault, and there really isn't anything you can do about it.
(AV sync issues are also common in special features or miscellaneous titles on discs, but I assume your concern is the main feature.)
I recently did a backup of a disc where there was a known sync issue at a certain point in the movie - some Blu-ray folks reported the sync happened with some hardware players but not others - and sure enough, MakeMKV registered the AV sync issue at that particular spot. When I watched it though with software playback (mpv), I didn't experience the sync issue.
I'm eager for the next version of MakeMKV though, since I hope that the erroneous AV sync message that appears in connection with forced subtitles will be fixed.
