system thread exception not handled blue screen

Soon after installing the latest version of MakeMKV, my system started to experience frequent blue-screen errors. The error is System Thread Exception Not Handled. It appears to be related to the C++ Runtime. At least that's as far as I can tell from the System Restore changes.

There should be a Windows Event Viewer event for the BSOD. It should list the module and program causing the issue.

For what it is worth, a case-insensitive search for "c++ runtime" does not find anything in the MakeMKV executables. So more information is necessary.
