Only getting stero audio from Blu-ray rips

#1 Post by robnpg » Wed Apr 22, 2020 12:04 am

Hello!
I've ripped two movies (Purple rain and Graffiti Bridge) that both contain 5.1 audio tracks. However, when I load the disc, MakeMKV only sees the stereo tracks. Is there some type of setup I'm missing?

When you click on the little triangle next to the title in the left menu, does the expanded list show one audio track, or multiple?

Thanks for replying. The only tracks that show up in the list are all 2 channel ones. Example, DTS Stereo English is an option. No 5.1 or anything in the list.

I see what’s going on. g Bridge is only 2.0. False alarm!

OK. I was wondering if maybe MakeMKV was choosing the "Descriptive Audio" track, which is usually stereo-only.

I've seen BDs for older movies where the main audio was in glorious, High Definition, remastered MONO, and all the other audio tracks had more channels.
