I think this has a new copy protection not supported yet by Make MKV?
It would appear, from my preliminary look at the files, that some of them start out normally, (and are the exact same episode, episode 3) and some begin far into the episode, (having no beginning.)
There are as many partial episodes, as there are full episodes.
I randomly picked several MPLS to rip, and never found any other episodes on disk 1 other than episode 3. Can’t access any other episode except for episode 3.
There are over 300 titles/mpls on this Blu-ray Disc and obviously all are bogus, from what I can tell for now.
Can someone take a look?
BTW: This blu-ray from PBS, plays fine in a real Blu-ray player, with all episodes accessible.
However, will not play on my computer, using "Blu-ray Player.app”, exhibits the exact same problem, can only play episode 3, no matter what episode I pick in the blu-rays GUI menu and of course, plays the incorrect playlist.
UPDATE: I have sent a dump file of Disc 1, to support.

Re: Masterpiece Sanditon (NEW Copy Guard Scheme)
For anyone still trying to rip the Masterpiece Sanditon blu ray, I was able to figure out the correct mpls files by ripping the full disk. I then went to the BDMV->STREAM folder and played those files with VLC player to determine the correct segment order.
For each disc, three episodes were only one segment each. And then the fourth episode had 11 segments.
Here's what I got:
Disc 1
Episode 1 - .00432 mpls - segment 8
Episode 2 - .00899 mpls - segment 12
Episode 3 - .00733 mpls - segment 13
Episode 4 - .00341 mpls - segment order
503, 508, 510, 507, 2, 501, 500, 505, 502, 509, 506
Disc 2
Episode 5 - .00304 mpls - segment 8
Episode 6 - .00496 mpls - segment order
506, 507, 503, 2, 505, 504, 502, 509, 501, 510, 500
Episode 7 - .00992 mpls - segment 13
Episode 8 - .00988 mpls - segment 1
My blu ray was from Amazon US. Hopefully this helps.

Thank you!!!
Re: Masterpiece Sanditon (NEW Copy Guard Scheme)
So just to be clear, when you say ripped the entire disc, you mean that you did a backup of the entire disk, not just the regular ripping of all the files. Kind of got that from you going into the BDMV->STREAM folder, correct!
FYI, I did send in a dump file to Make MKV support and there working on a fix, (for this new copy guard) hopefully in there next update.
PS: Thanks for finding the way around this copy guard.

Yes, I made a backup of the entire disk to my harddrive. Sorry. I should have been clearer with my terminology.
Re: Masterpiece Sanditon (NEW Copy Guard Scheme)
I did an entire backup of Sanditon disc 1 and then tried playing it in VLC, (3.0.8 ) but couldn't get past the warning saying my drive wasn't set for region 1 or A. It is set for region 1 and I wasn't able to play the disc like mylunaleigh did.
Am I missing something?
I've also set VLC to use Make MKV as the decryption engine.

Re: Masterpiece Sanditon (NEW Copy Guard Scheme)
It has been a few years and I am wrestling with ripping the second disc of Sanditon Season 1. There are over 300 tracks. And even when I try to back up the whole disc it only rips one episode as opposed to the whole four episodes.
Any guidance or advice?

Thank YOU! I had been trying to rip this set for days for my wife's holiday gift.
You saved the day.
