Installed 1.6.2 over 1.6.0, no problems reported.
After installing, running still reports the version as 1.6.0.
Installed again, looked at install log, several binaries are skipped.
Uninstalling, and then re-installing works.
Please fix the installer to correctly update an existing installation.

@ptr727
Hi!
I personally had no such problem, nor has anyone else reported such a problem. This would seem to indicate that there's nothing wrong with the installer...

Well, all I can tell you is I tried it twice, and it did not work.
For the EXE's and a few DLL's the installer said skipping files.
My system is Win7 x86 Pro.

That means the files were locked. Try rebooting and then running the upgrade WITHOUT opening MakeMKV first.ptr727 wrote:Well, all I can tell you is I tried it twice, and it did not work.

The log did not indicate why the files were skipped.
The app was not running, but if it was, the installer should have shut it down, or prompted me to shut it down.
If the files were locked, the installed should have either failed, or renamed the files and marked them for delete on reboot.
In either case, still a failure, or do you disagree?

I honestly have no idea, but, I've worked with PC's long enough to know that sometimes strange things happen. File locks in windows aren't always properly released, even if the program "isn't open". That's why I recommended a reboot. It's not necessarily the installer that's at issue, though. There are far too many variables in Windows.
