awesome, thx!RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 4:20 amif I have more time tomorrow night, I'll try to remux the dvdfab single layer file to TS and play it with the shield.
that is quite strange, yeah.

yep, I noticed that too. I hope it's not just the HDR10 layer with a DV flag. I'll do some screenshot comparison when I get a chance.Grencola wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 4:12 am
what's also interesting is the main video layer says dolby vision now as well as the secondary layer. it's like it's doing a mixture of what dvdfab does to single layer mp4s but also keeping the 2nd video track. this should be fine though, since it has the el+rpu and the full second layer, just weird why it applies it like that.
yep, strange.. but I watched it for about 15min and i think the audio sounded like lossless atmos(AVR showed ATMOS).. bluray player OSD showed usual atmos bitrate...Grencola wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 4:12 am
one thing is concerning, how come the atmos track says lossy under compression mode, with a bitrate of 640kbps / max 7134kbps? every disc I've been checking says lossless and bitrate is around 4000kbps/ max 7000kbps... it's like it's based on ac3 instead of truehd core or something.

that would be great if you could test single layer ts on shield. you might be pleasantly surprised, the color space probably isn't exact but it's looks soo close to real dv and still much much better than reg hdr10. that, and the convenience of being on a shield would outweigh the difference imho.baker99 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 4:55 pmDL DV Atmos TS muxes seem to work great here on my X700 too, not on the C6 over dlna though. Crashes my 2019 Shield using plex after briefly showing the DV logo. I'ts a shame the wi-fi and lan speed are so rubbish on the X700 or I'd be able to finally stream DV rips of my films, resorting to usb is a pain. I'll try a single layer conversion when I get chance, but I'm put off by DVDFab not using the correct colour space etc.
How you do a single layer DV in Tsmuxer? It crashes if you load a dvdfab generated mp4 file (single or double layer)Grencola wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 6:07 pmthat would be great if you could test single layer ts on shield. you might be pleasantly surprised, the color space probably isn't exact but it's looks soo close to real dv and still much much better than reg hdr10. that, and the convenience of being on a shield would outweigh the difference imho.baker99 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 4:55 pmDL DV Atmos TS muxes seem to work great here on my X700 too, not on the C6 over dlna though. I'm using w64-nightly-2020-02-23--01-10-39 and it hasn't crashed yet, it's currently at 17% processing a single layer DV mp4 created by DVDFab. Will keep you updated.ragico wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 6:12 pmHow you do a single layer DV in Tsmuxer? I've just muxed Cliffhanger with this build of Tsmuxer - I created the single layer mp4 with DVDFab and then added it to Tsmuxer. I might be noticing occasional stutters but I will need to do more testing. So far it seems to work and means you can add PGS subtitles and HD audio. I'm not entitely convinced yet on the single layer file made by DVDfab, I seem to be ssing patchy cyan/blue colours in certain whites. Again more testinf required.
I chose a difficult title that appears to use multiple m2ts files, the results last night were that it wouldn't play correctly, I think due to the atmos track, I'm trying again today using a different method.mattmarsden wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 10:03 amI've just muxed Cliffhanger with this build of Tsmuxer - I created the single layer mp4 with DVDFab and then added it to Tsmuxer. try just dragging the largest m2ts file from your bdmv/streams/ folder into tsmuxer for now..
oh yeah, I do experience that audio delay with x700. I think I tried the Deer Hunter, was way out of sync, maybe by 800ms. Played the mp4 on PC, in sync, on x700, out of sync. Not every title is out of sync, and not every out of sync title is off by the same duration. It's this random nature that drew me off. I think I'll jump over to projectors sooner or later, get a Penny ub820 and forget about having to deal with DV at all. lol.built_to_chill wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 8:43 amHas anyone else noticed subtle lip sync issues playing dual layer DV MP4s (with LPCM) on the X700?
I’ve noticed it a few times now when starting playing different files. Although it seems to perhaps correct itself after a bit.
Comparatively, discs always seem to have spot on lip sync.
Thanks for confirming. Good to know its not just me.superfans124 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 3:30 pmoh yeah, I do experience that audio delay with x700.
