I can't seem to rip Bluray disks although DVDs work just fine. This using version 1.6.2. I have tried four discs so far and all error with the same message.
I have an iMac (one of the last white ones with Intel Core 2 Duo) and an LG Bluray drive housed in an external enclosure. (LG CH08LS10 8x BD-ROM with DVD±RW & LightScribe SATA Blu-Ray Drive). This drive has been confirmed to work with MakeMKV by at least one user on the plex wiki (http://wiki.plexapp.com/index.php/Blu_Ray_Rips)
When I try to rip BD I place this disc in the drive and it spins up but shows no information in the panel although it does pick up the disc name correctly. If I then click on the open disc button anyway it sits for a bit and then comes back with this:
Code: Select all

Installing a trial version of AnyDVD on the Windows Bootcamp partition allows me to rip the disc perfectly although the Windows version of MakeMKV has the same errors as above. I'm not sure what else I need to do to make sure the drive is configured for MakeMKV. I would prefer to not have to use Windows as it's a bit of pain booting back and forth. Anyone got any ideas what I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
