Hi all,
When I rip a BR, does .makemkv have to be told to "grab" a thumbnail from the rip? Ive noticed some of my mkv files show an icon instead of like a "cover" art etc etc. I know I can manually fix this with mkvtool, but would rather fix it during the rip as the tool takes about an hour to add a picture back in.
Thank You
Larry
Thumbnail instead of icon
Re: Thumbnail instead of icon
I guess you want an icon when you look at a file list in a file manager. Usually at the bottom of the expanded blu-ray movie in MakeMKV, after the video, audio and subtitle choices, the is a check box for a jpeg file.
My player, VLC, just grabs a video frame for an icon when it organizes all the videos. I'd rather leave my file browser fast than pretty. Also, I think Handbrake drops that jpeg file if you compress your videos.
