narration on some Blue-ray's

#1 Post by lafhunting » Sun Jan 05, 2020 9:43 pm

Blue-Ray

Avengers Endgame, Black Panther and Jason Bourne all have narration when I play them.
Here is a screenshot of what is burned Avengers Endgame.

Descriptive Audio is a selectable track on the BD. Unfortunately, it looks like it got selected as "default" in the rip.

My recommendation is to play the MKV file in something that shows which track is playing, and find out if the Descriptive Audio track is the 2-channel stereo, or the 5.1 channel, and adjust accordingly. There are tools to let you do that without ripping again, but, at worst, you would deselect the DA track the next time you rip it.

It can also be, that the playing Soft/-Hardware did not support DTS and selects the next audio track in the list.
Good Luck :)
