Cannot open disk: Code 2147483648

#1 Post by ProXy » Fri Dec 20, 2019 1:45 pm

Hello there,

I wanted to open a Bluray but to my surprise I wasn't able to do so. I have no idea what is the issue here, but I enabled debugging. This is the log file:

Attached you can also find the created tgz file.

Is this due to AACS protection?

The debug code occurring where it did usually means there was an issue with reading the part of the disk that the AACS key information is stored. The AACS version is 9 (they're up to 72 now), so that should not be a problem, IF MakeMKV can read that critical part of the disk.

Start by cleaning the disk, and inspecting the data area near the spindle hole, to make sure it is clean and has no scratches or cracks.
