Does anybody know what Dolby's Microsoft Store app Dolby Vision Extensions is for?
Looks like it adds support for DV on Netflix but it doesn't trigger DV on my TV. :( same for the single or dual layer file played in Movies and TV app.

* Please restart Dolby Access after installing Dolby Vision Extensions.>>

step by step instruction to build a mp4 with dual layer dv from a multi m2ts disc like Gladiator.
https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 820#p76820
I'm sorry but I got stuck at step 3 and I have no idea of what he was trying to instruct.
Could you please be more specific what software do I need to download to work with this DolbyVision-muxing here maybe I can try figure out on my own if I know what to download
you need
- ffmpeg => https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/
- mp4muxer => https://github.com/DolbyLaboratories/dl ... master/bin
- mp4box => https://gpac.wp.imt.fr/downloads/gpac-nightly-builds/

The easyest way is to install all those command line tools in the same folder.

Been messing with yusesope player for the Amazon Fire TV, and I'm getting mixed results, I know it a work in progress.
all films have been converted to Dolby Vision single stream with DVDFab (passthrough), all audio is AC3 or EAC3.
I found all the Audio tracks work fine, All video streams kick in to Dolby Vision Mode (LG C7) but some videos play and some have black screens.
Transformers no Picture
James Bond casino Royale works fine.
I've tried it with Web optimiser on and off as I'm not sure what it does.
will try none passthrough mode on a few tonight.

Are people getting the same thing with the New Nvidia Shield?

I was finally able to get quite a few rips working, DTS HD/ DTS X works great but atmos converted to PCM 7.1 using ffmpeg does not play any any audio? Anybody with a shield tv Pro got a PCM 7.1 track to work using the Plex beta player? AC3 track works in the same video.

I got several working with converting Atmos to PCM 7.1 and playing on Plex with 2019 Shield. I'm having better results using Plex's legacy player (in the Plex app advanced settings). I also have several that do not work, from both DTS:X and Atmos-to-PCM conversions. The titles that don't work give a black screen but usually the play audio.

Yes? We know you can do that but there are no readily available players / devices that can play the resulting files.

So ive been looking for a sustainable way (and the family have special needs, zoom for example lol) to playback dolby vision mp4s for like 6months now, this thread makes me so happy, you are the best.

For some reason i didnt try MX Player until yesterday, and wow, simple/fast

The issue/question i have is.
It plays dolby vision with HW decoder if i play a certain chapter from Atomic Blonde, from USB-attached.

If i play Atomic Blonde the whole movie from SMB share, it says "hw decoder not available" or something, what goes? You would do me the biggest favour if u have a solution or guidance :(

edit: All made with DVDFab / ffmpeg / mp4box DTS into DVDFab single layer DV

edit again: Some files play, will investigate why some are not
