MakeMKV is unable to decrypt this disc. Using version 1.14.6 with latest SDF file. Dump file has been sent to svq@makemkv.com.

i get you have the latest sdf but do you have the latest HK? they are different
are you automatic download failed or disabled messages?
sdf is for drives
HK is keys for disks

Since you're being so helpful, how about telling me how to determine if I have the latest HK. And if I don't, how to get it? And no, I don't get any automatic download failed or disabled messages.

well unfortunately the latest HK is harder to get it is not publicly available and hard know if you have the latest version makemkv just auto downloads it.

let me know if it works because i find it hard to believe all of your disks don't have the same key as others.

to find your makemkv data directory click on preferences under view then you will see it delete your private data.tar and replace it with mine.

and i am being quite helpful if you realize it or not

I really do appreciate your efforts, but no joy. I followed your instructions and replaced my existing _private_data.tar file with yours, but I still get the "The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted. Failed to open disc" message. War for the Planet of the Apes, The Patriot, and Godzilla - King of the Monsters are the only discs I'm having trouble with.
