UHD Drive for MacOS

#1 Post by Tobias95 » Tue Nov 12, 2019 3:45 pm

Hi
I am a beginner in copying UHD Blu Rays with MakeMKV. I bought the techpulse120 drive to copy UHD Blu Rays. When I tried to copy the first disk (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), MakeMKV told me that the drive was not a LibreDrive drive. That's why I could not create a MKV file from it. When I then read in the forum that there are many specific drives that support LibreDrive, I wonder, which is the right one for me. To be honest, I'm not quite clear what to look for when buying a new one.
I use MacOS in the latest version (10.15.1) as well as the latest MakeMKV version (v1.14.5). Which of the LibreDrive-capable drives is the most reliable? Or can I also copy UHD Blu Rays with my techpulse120? If yes how?
Many thanks for your help.
