LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: Error while reading input

#1 Post by Unknown70 » Tue Sep 28, 2010 6:28 pm

My english is very bad so I try it in german

Hallo zusammen,

MakeMKV v1.6.0 win(x86-release) gestartet
Debug-Aufzeichnung eingeschaltet.
?ffne Dateien auf Festplatte in G:/MPG2DVD/09Next to burn/Death Race/VIDEO_TS/

Vielen Dan schon mal vorab f?r Eure Hilfe.

Here is the google translation:

Hi,

I have a problem with 1.6.0 MakeMKV both under WinXP Pro 32bit and 64bit on WinXP Pro, I have several DVDs on the hard disk, two of them without menus and one of them with menu but without extras, if I have the DVDs with no menu MakeMKV weird in the title loaded correctly displayed with all audio tracks and subtitles, I then click on the Butter "Make MKV" immediately get the following message:

"Das Kopieren wurde abgeschlossen. 0 Titel wurden gesichert, 1 schlug fehl."

This is logged with the following:

The DVD with menu is easily converted into an MKV file, so I do not know if it actually has nothing to do with the presence of a menu, I do not know which software to rip the DVD menu was.

The first DVD without menu was ripped in any case with CloneDVD2.

The second DVD without a menu is a TV recording I demux with PVAStrumento cut with Cuttermaran and authored with IfoEdit have, I know this IFOEdit not work quite right, so which one such TV Mix Imitate not even just may be shrinking with CloneDVD2, I use Nero will create an image and this mount it with DEAMON tools so at least the problems that CloneDVD2 has IFOEdit fixed in this case seems to help but not, probably the error is to be sought elsewhere, as the DVD, the only edited with CloneDVD was also causes problems.

Does anyone have any idea what's it?
Hats are really doing to do with the menus? (I can not imagine eigendlich)

Thank Dan very much in advance for your help.

Greetings Unknown

As far as I know, in order to make an .MKV from a DVD, MakeMKV requires either the original DVD or a complete DVD copy on a hard drive as the source material...

How do MakeMKV detect if it is an original DVD or not

Should it be a copy protection, so the user can only rip DVD material when he is the owner of the original dvd?

Absolutely NOT. One of the primary capabilties of MakeMKV is the removal of copy protection...

if it's NOT I'm assuming that this is a bug, can I assume that this bug is fixed in the next version 1.6.1 or whatever?

I am getting similar errors on windows7 as well. I am getting these errors on discs that I have previously made mkv's with previous versions.

Now I'm using the 1.5.4 beta version and it works but I have to set the systemdate to 2009 otherwise there comes a massage
this software is to old please download...
When I try to save the mkv to a network drive a new error massage came up but if I save it on the local hdd it works
is this a bug too?

best regards Unknown
