Have you guys tried running the BDMV file through BDInfo to get the correct playlist? Use Makemkv in backup mode to get the BMMV file then run it through BDInfo to display the playlist.

That's not a method I am familiar with.

While the blu-ray disc is inside the drive open Makemkv and go to file, backup. Check decrypt disc if not already then proceed with the backup process. Makemkv will create a BDMV file.

Use BDInfo to navigate to the BDMV file which will then display the correct playlist. BDInfo works best in Windows. Latest version is 0.7.5.5.

There is a version for Mac but it is rather useless. For Mac users, right click on BMDV and choose "show contents" to see what is inside the file.

Wanted to note that I had the RB copy of the movie and although my makemkv was listing 965 as FPL_MainFeature, i decided to go with 429. I watched the entire movie afterwards and can confirm that was the correct segment.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before but each one of the numbers is a track # so I thought I should just load the movie and skip to each track to identify how it starts and then take a random burn, notating what the burn shows the track sequence to be and then I can identify which track is the correct track each time. There are only 16 chapter on these movies so it's simply a matter of watching a few times to ensure you have the correct sequence and then you find the correct one with the right sequence.

I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier when I was frustrated with JW1 and JW2 but this hopefully should make it easier.

I may be missing something, but I downloaded and tried to see how this would help but it was not obvious to me.

My MakeMKV was listing 434 as the FPL_MainFeature. The root of the disk structure labeled it retail.

How do you know if the library scene is wrong? Is there a target timeline to view and test?

Just done a run through and makmkv shows this as the FPL_MainFeature

but after looking it looks like this is the correct one for me.

I spot checked it against the DVD and the time codes look the same.
All the play lists start with 504 and end with 517.

I want to confirm that the correct play list file of one redbox BluRay is 00965.mpls
The 000434.mpls which flagged as title00 for this disc is not correct.

00965: 514 506 517 502 505 511 508 516 519 503 520 512 510 507 504 518 509 515 501
00434: 514 502 517 506 505 511 508 516 519 503 520 512 510 504 507 518 509 515 501

There are two short sections swapped in the 00434.mpls
I also did confirm by watching the movie at the time calculated from the mpls file.
Hopefully this helps those looking for the right play list file.

I still get 100s of playlist files. I select the bdmv\stream dir and it goes back to root.

Ugh, wonder how many different Blu-ray disc masters they have for this. Thankfully, the 4K disc doesn't seem to have this obfuscation.
