Avengers Endgame 4K

Hey, if anyone can assist I just recently received a m2ts file of avengers endgame not from the disk just copied to a external hard drive, I was wanting to convert it to a .mkv file just easier container, I have tried to research in regards to converting it via makemkv and it can’t open the file format. Can anyone help? I’m using a Mac and have access to a PC if need to

Please help

You cannot do this with MakeMKV.

"MKVToolNIX GUI" can load m2ts files.
