Hellboy (2019) - Which Playlist?

I tested 377 and I don't think that is the right one.... played side by side with disc (Leawo BR player) and did not match up 100%

Using the filter process log method this is the one my blu-ray player chooses to play. I will have to watch it through to be sure but this method has never steered me wrong with lions gate films.

That is what makeMKV is saying for me too. Is it not correct?

That's odd, yesterday I had no 378, but today I get the same final feature illustrated at the top. Thanks! (I'll keep both and wait till this is sorted out here though)

My Redbox doesn't have a 00378.mpls but it does have a 00377.mpls. I use DVDFab and it chose 00401.mpls but is often wrong.

How do you determine the numbers, When I open with MakeMKV I only see names.

If possible can you please share the procedure how you are going to determine the correct playlist and Rip it from the disk.

Correct playlist for retail is 00510.mpls.

The 377 playlist looks to be correct. Thanks for sharing that. I had to create an account to thank you! I haven't watched the full movie but it got to the final credits and the after credit scene too. The time duration checks out compared to the disc.

agreed on 377. I found an issue around 22minutes I think or so where 378 goes wrong but 377 seems okay

can confirm 378 (the one makeMKV chooses) is wrong; sequence at about the 20 minute mark is out of order as previously posted. 377 is the correct playlist.

It seems as though playlist 377 is accurate. I just ripped and watch the entire movie accurately. #Redbox BR

@Erazerhed - If there is a new BD, and it gives you few hundred (about 500 - The Kid) same looking playlists, how can you find out which one to select? Is there any writeup or sticky about it that you know?

@mike_admin Also, as a feature request, it would be nice to be able to enter the playlist #, and get it selected. Scrolling through hundreds of same looking files to fish for the one is a bit overwhelming.

What do you do with the mpls playlist file exactly, do you utilize it in makeMKV? Also I'm looking at a full backup of 4K redbox hellboy and don't see the mpls files you're talking about.

You won't see the same mpls's on a UHD BD as you do on a regular BD. They're mastered differently.

That's what I figured and was going to edit my post but apparently I still have to have all my posts approved by a moderator.

So how do you utilize the mpls playlist/menu? I've just been doing full backups/convert everything to mkv.
