Hi Robert1972. Sorry the Pioneer BDR-211 -EBK cannot rip 4K UHDs using MakeMKV. This drive can only rip 1080p Blu-Rays Get the Asus or LG optical drives listed here https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 16&t=19634Robert1972 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2019 5:25 pmCan anyone help me, have this System:

Thank you for the Information.
I heard that AMD can't work with UHD-drives.
What do i need for streaming UHD's, only a UHD-drive from the List ??

Re: PIONEER BDR 211 EBK
I bought the same drive way back in August 2019 but was unable to install it until today (27 October 2019) because I was looking after some visitors. Now that I'm free, I replaced my BDR209 with the BDR211. I was not aware that there are recommended UHD drives to use with MakeMKV. I was very disappointed to discover after installing that the drive is unable to rip UHD disks. Is there no other way to make this work apart from replacing the UHD drive?

Nope. Pioneer drives are not UHD friendly at all and currently can't be flashed to make them friendly.lfcarreon1 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 9:05 amI bought the same drive way back in August 2019 but was unable to install it until today (27 October 2019) because I was looking after some visitors. Re: PIONEER BDR 211 EBK
Is there any update on this drive for flashing to 4k?
It works fine with MakeMKV for regular bluray but ive seen much much older drives like the pioneer BDR-UD03FAL from 2013 is possible to flash for 4k...im confused what makes this one unflashable ?
I hoped this could be cross flashed to the pioneer bdr-211UBK?? Or any other solution now at 2026?
