I have tried several times with four different movies. I have tried Aliens, Alien Resurrection, Hellraiser & Thor Blu-rays, All of these convert to mkv easily. However, the choice of making a backup is grayed out. why would this happen. Using an LG W10LS30 with v1.00 Firmware. I've now tried my WH14NS40 @ 1.02 and that is doing, or rather not doing the same thing. Could it be that one pc is an AMD A10-5800K (GTX660) and the other is an intel i5-9600k (intel graphics). I can't seem to find a difference other than that. I tried both drives in the intel system and they both work fine. These are both Win 10 pro systems and are up to date software wise (makemkv 1.14.4)
Any help here is greatly appreciated. Thanks loads,
Ice

Backup is grayed out once you have opened the disc. Either Close the disc from the File menu or don't open it when you first mount the disc.

This confused me as well and I had to google it. Maybe it would be good to remove the button from that menu all together.
