Do I need to keep a lossy DTS track if I have lossless DTS-HD MA?

Is there any reason I should keep a lossy DTS track if a Blu-ray has a lossless DTS-HD Master Audio track as well?

No, the DTS lossy track is extracted from the DTS Master track and not needed. Each DTS HD track has always an 5.1 core which is separated as an extra lossy track by MakeMKV. But please note, an DTS HD Master track is very huge and needs very good equipment to hear the addional "sound".
Good Luck :)
