I only need the Director's Cut. As you can see it is part of 00003.mpls and 00004.mpls. Both contain the same segment parts, chapters, etc:

but the file size differs a little bit:
Salte00.mkv - 00003.mpls - 23.126.528.622 Bytes
Salte03.mkv - 00004.mpls - 23.126.292.734 Bytes

I checked the credits and intro but can not see any difference. As the segments are identical this seems to be logic. Which differences could be left?

I tried to check the audio. By that I used gMKVExtractGUI and extracted the audio tracks, subtitle sup and chapter xml files.

The differences as follows:

Through PSPad I found that chapters contain different "EditionUID" and "ChapterUID" :

The HashCheck Shell Extension shows identical english DTS-HD MA audio tracks:

Then I compared all subtitle files (English and German) and found different checksums for two subtitle files:

In the next step I will search for a tool to check the sup-files content as they seem to be encrypted or compressed.

Now I used Subtitle Edit 3.5.9 to convert the SUP (text as images) file to SRT (text is OCR'd through Subtitle Edit). I checked the differences with PSPad again and its American vs British English:

Wow. So much work for this little detail

Result:
Salte00.mkv - 00003.mpls - American English
Salte03.mkv - 00004.mpls - British English

I'll go with AE.

Maybe MakeMKV could highlight differences like this in the future?
