Debug Code 03DF

#1 Post by xmenw » Tue Jun 26, 2018 4:15 pm

Hello

I have Makemkv running on a windows PC as well as on Linux, I have successfully ripped (make full backup) UHD discs on both systems. However lately, I have been getting this error on both systems. in spite of the error I'm still able to rip the disc fine, and able to playback the backup using different methods. What is reason for this error?

I saw only one other thread for this error

https://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopi ... =4&t=17112

But it doesn't explain what causes the error or a way to rectify it.

Its not critical since I'm still able to use the software, however the reason for it would be good to know and if it should be avoided.

This is not an error - it is a debug code. It means that you are extremely lucky :) . No other information for now...

I don't think I am as lucky. Up until today, I have been able to rip dozens of UHDs without any issues, however, I just noticed this debug code, and then the backup fails everytime. Here is the whole string of code including the debug code (seems to happen each time while attempting to parse the /AACS/Content000.cer file):

Any suggestions? Was working flawlessly as recently as a couple of days ago, and I'm pretty sure that haven't changed anything in the interim.

I have a similar issue. Have successfully ripped a number of UHDs, but now "all of a sudden" when I try to rip a disc I get "DEBUG: Code 03DF" and then "Failed to open disc". I've not changed any of my settings.

Most peculiar...

Hi there, new here in the forum. I've read that some people are having this Debug Code 03DF in makemkv, but they're successfully ripping their UHD movies. I'm having the same problem, I'm using an Asus BW-16D1HT with 3.01 firmware and makemkv v1.14.2. I tried ripping my copy of Batman V Superman and the drive is able of reading it with no problem, even thought it still gives me the same debug code. I have tried to rip some of my Blu rays movies and it always gives me this code:

DEBUG: Code 03DF
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\PlexServer/.MakeMKV/MKB_v65_The_Spy_Who_Dumped_Me_E734.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

I have a file in folder with newest hashkeys just in case. I have another drive in the same computer is an old LG HL-DT-ST BD-RE GGW-H20L and I don't have a problem reading and ripping blu ray movies with this drive, I have ripped the same one as the UHD drive, and other two that I have tried in the UHD drive. I don't mind having both drives in same computer, but i would like to know why is not working in my Asus drive, and so far i have only tried one UHD, I think i'll have to wait until i can get a few more and see if the problem is the same. If anyone have a solution it will be gratefully appreciated.

I do have the exact same problem as chipless. Ripped ~150 Discs, but as of today it always fails opening the discs while parsing the Content000.cer file. I also use the ASUS BW-16D1HT drive with 3.01 firmware. :(
