I trying to rip the first disk in the Tremors TV series and my system keep saying there is no disk in the drive yet it plays in my DVD player fine and the other disks in the series all ripped fine with no errors. What could be causing my system to not recognize the first disk?

"Plays in my disk player" is a common thought people have, but remember that disk players intentionally gloss over errors on the media.

When you insert a disk in the computer, it is first recognized by the drive, then the operating system, then MakeMKV (or other programs) can see it. "No disk" means that either the first or second stage failed.

The first step is making sure the disk is clean - Even if it looks "perfect", contamination (or cracks!) around the hub area can make the disk unreadable to the operating system.

When you insert the disk in the drive, can you take a directory of it?
