1.5.6 is to old?

1.5.6 is to old?

i've installed 1.5.6-beta, but the programm tells me after starting, that this version is to old. after clicking "okey", it close itself.

I too am having this error from tonight.

Tried:
sudo rm /usr/bin/makemkv & rm /usr/bin/makemkvcon
restarted pc

then installing again from the latest download: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=224

Just get the same pop up and shown above and only a choice to click OK

i've installed today first time and take the tar.gz files from your pasted links already.
if i click "okey", the programm is closing.

Im having the same problem as well. I have installed the latest beta files (1.5.6) and when I try to start the program a pop-up says the files are too old then I click OK and the app and pop-up both close. Any help with this would be grate thanks.

I had this issue too but it was resolved by installing the 1.5.8 version. The installation procedure overwrites both 1.5.6 binaries. My only guess (and it's just that) is that perhaps you didn't install BOTH the .bin & .oss binaries.
